About this policy

theprsummit.com is operated by Nexus Multimedia, a US-based marketing and public relations agency headquartered in San Diego, California. The PR Summit is the dedicated editorial PR practice within Nexus Multimedia. This policy explains what information the site collects when you visit or contact us, how that information is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have about it.

This policy was last updated on May 6, 2026. Where we refer to "we" or "us" below, we mean Nexus Multimedia operating the theprsummit.com website and its associated services.

02

Information we collect

We collect two categories of information. The first is information you provide to us directly when you fill out a form or contact us. The second is information collected automatically when you visit the site.

When you submit a consultation request, partnership application, newsletter signup, or referral form, you choose what to share. The forms ask for some combination of name, work email address, phone number, company or firm name, role, inquiry type, and the message you write.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard request information that web servers receive on every request. This includes your IP address, the page you requested, the time of the request, the referring URL if your browser sends one, and your browser and device user agent string. This information is used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic analysis at the edge.

  • What you submit through forms: name, email, phone, company, role, inquiry type, message content, and any attachments you choose to include.
  • What is recorded automatically: IP address, request URL, timestamp, referring URL, and browser user agent.
  • What we do not collect: payment information (we do not process payments through this site), account credentials (the site does not have user accounts), or precise geolocation.
03

Cookies and similar technologies

theprsummit.com does not run third-party advertising trackers, behavioral retargeting pixels, or conventional Google Analytics tags in the page itself.

The site uses a small amount of first-party browser storage for site operation. The most material example is a sessionStorage entry that captures a referral source if you arrive at the site through a partner link with a ?ref= parameter, so that referrals are attributed correctly when a partner submits a form. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a small number of operational cookies for security and bot protection at the network edge, including cookies associated with their Turnstile bot challenge if it is presented during a form submission. These cookies do not contain personal information beyond what is needed for the integrity check.

04

How we use information

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, scope a possible engagement, and follow up on questions you raise. We use the information collected automatically to understand how the site is performing in aggregate, to detect and prevent abuse, and to make editorial and product decisions about the site.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use submitted form data for retargeted advertising. We do not share your inquiry with unrelated third parties for their marketing purposes.

  • To respond to consultation requests, partnership applications, and other inquiries you initiate.
  • To improve the site, the editorial work, and the materials we publish.
  • To send occasional updates only where you have explicitly opted in to a newsletter or to a partner communication.
  • To meet legal, tax, professional, and recordkeeping obligations that apply to our practice.
05

How we share information

Information you provide reaches a small set of named service providers that operate the site and process inquiries for us. Each operates under their own privacy commitments published on their websites.

Form submissions are transmitted to a Google Apps Script web endpoint that writes a row to a Google Sheet inside our Google Workspace. The Apps Script triggers an internal email notification so we can respond. The processing platform is Google. The site itself is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's content delivery network, which means request metadata transits Cloudflare's edge for delivery and security purposes. Where Cloudflare Turnstile is invoked on a form, the bot challenge is processed by Cloudflare.

We disclose information when required to do so by valid legal process, including subpoena, court order, or other lawful request. We disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the safety of users, or the integrity of the site, or to investigate fraud or abuse.

If Nexus Multimedia is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information you have provided may be transferred as part of that transaction. Where this happens, we will give notice on this page and where reasonably possible by direct communication.

06

How long we keep information

We retain personal information for the time it takes to do the work it was given for, plus a reasonable additional period for tax, legal, professional, and operational records.

Inquiry messages from people who do not become clients are typically retained for up to twenty-four months in our Google Sheet records, after which they may be archived or deleted in routine cleanup. Records associated with active client engagements are retained for the duration of the engagement and afterward in line with the engagement letter, applicable professional retention requirements, and the statutes of limitation that apply to our work.

Aggregate, non-identifying analytics and request logs are retained per the default retention periods of the platforms that produce them. You may request deletion of a specific inquiry record at any time using the contact details below.

07

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion of it, to object to certain processing, or to receive a copy in a portable format. We honor these requests under the law that applies to you, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, the General Data Protection Regulation in the European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom GDPR.

California residents may request to know what categories of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the purposes for collection, the categories of third parties with whom information has been shared, and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information, so the right to opt out of sale does not produce a separate process; it is the default.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom residents have the rights described above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing inquiries is our legitimate interest in responding to messages you initiate. Our legal basis for newsletter communications is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

To exercise any right, or to update or remove information you have submitted, email hello@theprsummit.com or call (619) 736-0704. If you are subscribed to a newsletter and would like to stop, reply with the word "unsubscribe" or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.
